Food at Greenwood Trails

At Greenwood Trails, food is at the heart of the camp experience.

Campers sit together by cabin in our spacious dining hall to enjoy meals and share moments with friends and counselors. These gatherings are more than just a time to eat—they’re opportunities to build bonds, reflect on the day’s adventures, and recharge for the activities ahead.

Our balanced menu provides nutritious and tasty meals to keep campers energized throughout their busy days. Each meal offers choices to meet different preferences and dietary needs. In addition to the hot entree, lunch and dinner always feature a fully stocked salad bar, and breakfast includes fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels and cereal to start the day on a healthy note. While it’s hard to top home cooking, our meals come close!

Greenwood Trails is a nut-free camp, ensuring a safe dining environment for everyone. Our kitchen staff is experienced with dietary restrictions, offering vegetarian options and accommodations for gluten or dairy allergies. We work with families in advance to make sure each child can enjoy meals worry-free.

Beyond the food, the dining hall is a place of tradition and fun. Meals often end with music, dancing, and standing on the benches singing favorite songs. Mealtime traditions such as songs, cheers, birthday celebrations and the occasional conga line create a lively atmosphere, making each meal feel special and fostering a true sense of community.
