Every day is a new adventure at Greenwood Trails. With a wide range of activities, campers can grow, take on new challenges, and enjoy favorite pastimes, allowing them to build confidence and have fun.
Our choice-based program is built around our four trails – athletics, arts, adventure and aquatics. In addition, counselors create exclusive Greenwood Trails activities that add creativity and variety. As you’ll see below, the broad range of activity choices offers something for every camper every day!
The arts trail consists of creative and performing arts and gives campers the opportunity to express themselves and create their own masterpieces.
The adventure trail gives campers the opportunity to test limits, push boundaries, learn teamwork, overcome obstacles and reach new heights.
Splashing around in our heated pool or private lake, a refreshing dip in the water is never far away.
In addition to our extensive selection of “regular” activities, Greenwood Trails campers can choose activities that defy labels. Counselors, and sometimes campers, create unique games and activities that inspire and delight. The list is endless because more are being created every summer, but here’s a small sampling of some of the interesting activities we’ve had at camp.
Within each of our four trails—Athletics, Adventure, Arts, and Aquatics—campers have the option of reaching for goals through our Trails Program.
For example, completing the Adventure Trail might include climbing every side of the tower, building and lighting a campfire without assistance, or navigating multiple low ropes elements. When campers finish a trail, they’re recognized in front of the entire camp. Those who complete all four earn the title of Trailblazer, with their name added to a plaque proudly displayed at camp.
The Trails Program teaches resilience and perseverance, reminding campers that FAIL is just a First Attempt In Learning. Each child decides how to engage: focus on a single trail, spread efforts across all four, or opt out entirely.It’s one more way Greenwood Trails embodies the motto: Choose Your Own Trail!
