The Greenwood Trails Difference

Imagine a summer filled with new friendships, exciting activities, and amazing adventures. A summer where you choose your own path and have the support to succeed. A summer where you live, learn, and grow within a warm and welcoming camp community, all while having the time of your life. Imagine a summer at Greenwood Trails!

Greenwood Trails is a family-owned coed camp nestled on over 100 wooded acres in the beautiful Berkshires of Northwest Connecticut. In this bucolic setting, our campers experience fabulous summers, build lifelong memories and learn skills that will benefit them long after they’ve gone home for the summer.

A Close-Knit, Caring Community

Our community is limited to under 180 campers in order to give each camper the best possible experience. Our small size and four-to-one camper to staff ratio ensures that each child gets the individual attention necessary for their success. The dedicated staff at Greenwood Trails creates a warm, positive and easygoing community where everyone feels welcome and campers are comfortable being themselves.  We are indeed a family, and that’s why so many refer to Greenwood Trails as their second home.

A Program that Encourages Individuality

We recognize that every child is unique, and that the more a child can “choose their own trail,” the more exciting and meaningful each adventure becomes. Campers have the ability to customize most of their own schedule from our four trails – arts, aquatics, athletics and adventure. As campers blaze their chosen path, they grow in remarkable ways, stepping outside of their comfort zones and developing confidence and character. As a result, they can find their passions and discover their unique selves.

Campers “Unplug” and Connect

Greenwood Trails is a screen-free camp. We believe that in order to truly get the most out of their experience here, campers need to disconnect from their devices. When they do, they connect with each other, their counselors, nature and themselves. Without the pressures and distractions of the outside world, campers thrive in our kid-centered environment.

A Place to Have Fun!

At the end of the day, we believe camp is a place where kids can just be kids. Whether it’s spontaneous dance parties at breakfast or acting out a wacky skit in front of the camp, we want kids to express themselves and have fun in a safe, friendly environment that’s bursting with camp spirit.

We hope that your family will join our family this summer for an exciting journey at Greenwood Trails!

I always get a lot of personal growth and it’s really cool to look back to see how far or different I’ve become.
