Hi Everyone!

Even though it’s cold and dreary outside, we are still gearing up for the most amazing summer yet! And this summer, we’ll be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! It’s crazy to think that I’ve known so many amazing people for 5 years already.

I am pleased to announce that I will be traveling to Paris and Milan in a couple of weeks to tell potential campers about how great our camp is and I’m hoping that I can connect with our current campers when I’m out there. Please let me know if you’d like to meet! I would love to see you all there!

GWT is celebrating its 5 year anniversary this summer and we couldn’t be happier with the staff who are returning to make this the most memorable summer yet!  Unfortunately, not everyone can come back and because of that, we have SOME positions available!

If you or someone you know is interested in working for Greenwood Trails this summer, please review our staff responsibilities and requirements:

Counselor dates of employment: June 14, 2014-August 15, 2014.  While it’s not required for most, we recommend that staff arrive June 7 and participate in our certifications week. This week is not optional for our primary lifeguards and rope staff.

Age/education requirements:  All senior counselors must have their high school diplomas and preferably, they have completed some college coursework.

Other requirements: Counselors leading activities should have significant experience within their field of expertise.  All counselors are also required to have prior child management experience.

Staff members will be responsible for leading or assisting in an activity as well as taking care of campers within a cabin.  We ask that all staff members are flexible, as we will ask that, at times, they lead other activities that they are qualified to teach but are not necessarily hired for.  Most of our staff receive certification in either lifeguarding or ropes (team-building) regardless of their positions.

If you are chosen for an interview, please be prepared to share your ideas for your activity!  All staff members are required to be role models and because of that, please also make sure that your social media presence is totally clean and camper friendly at the time of your interview!

We are a fun-loving, creative, enthusiastic bunch and we look forward to summer 2014!
