Proceed north on Rt. 8 from points south. Expressway ends at Winsted. Turn right (west) on Rt. 44 through center of Winsted for approx 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Rt. 263 (Winsted Ambulance Barn will be seen on your left, there is no right turn) …see ** below.

From the North

From the East

Proceed west on Rt 44 from Hartford, West Hartford, Avon or points east. Approx 1 mile beyond the center of Winsted (town green and NW Conn. Community College) turn left onto Rt. 263 (Winsted Ambulance Barn will be seen on your left, there is no right turn ) …see ** below.

** To camp from the intersection of Rt. 44 and Rt. 263 is just 1.9 miles. Follow the signs for Rt. 263, which is initially marked Lake Rd., splits to the right to become Boyd St., and then becomes Winchester Rd. Crystal Lake will appear on the right at about 1.6 miles. Immediately after, look for pedestrian signs for camp, with entrance to our main parking lot on the left.
